Our Story

Cory, founder and Creative Director of KOHR Productions is a talented, result-driven industry leader with 21 years in show design and production, video production, 3D animation and traditional graphic design.

He has worked in local, remote and worldwide environments for diverse industries such as: fortune 500, corporate events and trade shows, interactive presentations, science centers, theme parks, and attractions.

In 1986, Cory started his career with Laser Fantasy as a show designer and laser artist. Working on some of the largest shows ever created. Like the 1 mile wide, 20 minute show for the “Grand Coulee Dam”, still showing after 19 years. Tasks included: Laser programming, laser animation, computer programming, soundtrack design, onsite installations.

Cory co-founded the Lightspeed Design Group in 1992 and flourished there until 2004 as Art Director. He produced many productions for the educational and entertainment markets, including a 20 minute, stereo 3D, multimedia presentation for “Portugal’s World’s Fair” in 1998, promoting the earth as a single living system. He also produced 6, 20 minute educational Stereo 3D shows for the museum/science center industry, which took complex topics and boiled them down to make it easy for people to understand.

In 2004 Cory founded KOHR Productions, a design and production studio implementing the latest digital media tools, to serve the ever growing client base.

Cory was hired by Universal Studios Orlando in the summer of 2006 to design and produce all of their laser aerial effects for their latest 20 minute outdoor extravaganza, “Universal 360 Cinesphere Spectacular”. The show featured 4, 8watt RGB laser systems and 4 10w emerald green systems, programmed using Pangolin Laser Systems control software and then ported over to the DSP system for playback. Cory spent 6 weeks on-site during the installation and the show opened on time, for the 4th of July!
